This annual day of appreciation brings in 30 % of sales for the entire floral industry after about $2.3 million in flower sales for the day. Nearly 75 % of those celebrating Mom's day will buy some flowers making it the busiest week for florists.
This year a lot of roses and tulips were sold, as well as hanging baskets and combination pots.
