Summit Mobile Home Fire

watch video
A Summit Township couple is homeless after flames ravaged through their mobile home Thursday night. Now, they're mourning the loss of two dogs and all their possessions. Bob and Judy Terryberry have their lives thanks to their alert grandson. He says he was riding his bike Thursday night, when he saw smoke coming from his grandparents' home at 47 Cherrywood Lane. He then ran across the street to his house and called 911. Mobile home fires are always a challenge, but firefighters say this one was more difficult than usual. It's an older model home, and there was plenty of fuel to burn inside. A fire marshall will be on scene Friday morning to investigate.
