First Elm Street Designation Project Underway


   SEPTEMBER 18, 2012-The Sisters of Saint Joseph are taking back Little Italy with some extra help.

    Erie officials and members of the DCED cut a ribbon to mark the beginning of the first Elm Street Designation in Pennsylvania.

    This project is part of the Keystone Communities Program, and it will help revitalize Little Italy.

    The goal is to revamp the area and recruit businesses to set up shop.

    Officials hope this project will breathe new life into the historic neighborhood.
