Erie County Now Using Electronic Payroll System

September 18, 2012--After years of doing it the old fashioned way, Erie County employees now have a brand new electronic system for logging their hours.

Manager of Accounting for Erie County, Sue Ellen Pasquele says the web based integrated hr time attendance and payroll system will eliminate manual record keeping, while saving time (about 4 hours of keying every 2 weeks).

The system cost around $234,000 for maintenance and software but was funded through a grant and isn't costing taxpayers anything.

Comments

If this had been done 10 years ago when the technology became available, the price would have been lower and the keying hours savings would already have added up. Way to go Erie. Still stuck in the stone age.

last I knew Grant Money was tax payer money? Who does the county think they are fooling? 234,000 to save two hours per week well thats a fair trade
