The Governor's awards for the arts were presented tonight during a ceremony at the historic Warner Theatre....

It's the 32nd year for the awards and the first time they have been held in Erie....

Erie's own Susan Kemeneffy was honored as the commonwealth's 2012 artist of the year...

After the ceremony ... Kemenyffy told us the award is made even better by the location of tonight's ceremony...

Earlier in the evening ... Governor Corbett and the First Lady arrived at Erie Insurance for a reception there...

The governor saying they are happy to hear about the week long celebration of the arts leading up to this day...

The arts are a $2 billion industry and play a huge role in Pennsylvania's economy...

Corbett told us he wants to see the arts strengthened in the Keystone State...
