Furhman's Cider Is On A Full Press

watch video

September 26, 2012

It's the most wonderful time of the year if you love fall and of course apple cider.

The press is on full time to stock the shelves at Furhman's cider mill and general store.

This season has been a bit of struggle because of a mild winter, translating into a weak apple supply.

This year, for the first time, Furhman's had to bring in apples from as far away as Gettysburg.

They've even had to cut back when it comes to supplying cider to local school districts and groceries.

There is plenty of cider on the shelves at Furhman's, but they say the cider season could run a little shorter this year than last.

Apparently they still had cider until May of this year and at the rate we're going now, they hope to have cider until November.
