Police Name Suspect in Clymer School Superintendent Death

watch video
The Chautauqua County District Attorney has named a suspect in the shooting death of 51 year old Keith Reed.

Police believe Anthony Taglianetti of Virginia is responsible for the Clymer, New York man's death.
In a news conference this afternoon, officials said they believe this was not a random act, but the result of a personal issue between Taglianetti and Reed. Police say the two men knew each other on a personal level, and they have evidence that puts Taglianetti in Clymer on Friday when authorities believe Reed was shot to death.

Police believe Taglianetti has fled the state and they are searching for him, but he is considered to be armed and dangerous. Sheriff Gerace believes that Taglianetti's only reason for being in Clymer was to murder Reed.

Reed, the former Clymer Schools Superintendent, was found shot to death outside his home on Monday.

Anyone with information is asked to call Virginia PD at 571-238-0731 or the Chautauqua County Sheriff at 716-753-4232.

A nationwide bulletin is out.

Comments

You all need to let this man rest in peace. Making these accusations or even throwing any of this out there is very tacky, not to mention unbelievable disrespectful behavior. There are children, family and close friends reading this right now, and the last thing they need is added hurt and pain on top of this tragedy. Grow up and show yourself if you are so confident as to call somebody out like that. Hiding under fake facebooks and aliases prove to me even more that your a coward.

Unfortunately, all of Renee's comments are not incorrect... it doesn't mean he deserved to die that way, however, karma will come around. People who knew him way before Clymer know more about him and his unfortunate habit of liking much younger women/girls. Perhaps before everyone bashes this woman, they should also do some research and try and find out more about him. Again, I do not believe he deserved this, but he's not as innocent as you all believe.

Renew perhaps before posting [censored] you clearly know absolutely nothing about you should get your facts straight. Mr. Reed did NOT leave HHS due to having inappropriate relationships with underage students. So instead of being a heartless #@!?* you should do your research on the truth.

Renee, as a former student at Horseheads when Mr. Reed was there, you disgust me. Mr. Reeds actions proved time and time again, everywhere he went, that he deeply cared about kids. For you to say something like that is appalling.

@Renee, I was a student of his when he worked at S-E. He was a great man who did nothing but try to help the student as much as possible. If what you're saying is true, he wouldn't have been able to get hired anywhere else cause he'd have his certifications revoked. Also, what you're saying can't be true cause the guy is from Virginia, not Clymer. Either way, "rough justice" as you say is not the answer EVER. Keith Reed was a great man, and will be missed dearly in our community. Hope they find that man very soon.

Renee, that sounds strange to me. I find it hard to believe that someone could be appointed as a superintendant of a school anywhere after having accusations like that brought up against him. From everything that I have read it sounds like he was a great guy. I dont personally know him but your statements seems weird to me.

Nobody deserves to b killed but perhaps Keith's actions led to his demise. He had to leave Horseheads School District for having [censored] with underage students. Maybe he was doing the same in Clymer and an angry parent sought rough justtice.
