Community Leaders Discuss Safer Environments for Kids

watch video

It's all about Erie's youth as the annual kick off of Healthy Youth Development Week gets underway.

Today community leaders met to discuss ways to develop positive assets in Erie County to make sure that kids have the best environment in which to grow up.

This is the 7th annual year for the program...which aims to generate outreach and positive assets to help kids and teens stay safe...stay in school...and stay out of trouble.

This initiative is a community based system to try to insulate kids from ant social behavior.

Our own Traci Teudhope who has been involved in the organization for the past 7 years was happy to serve as emcee for today's event.
