New Book Chronicles Battle of Lake Erie

October 2, 2012--The Battle of Lake Erie is making its way into history classrooms all around the area as continue to celebrate Perry 200.

A new book called Victory, published in separate editions one for elementary students and another for high school students, were written and illustrated by Cornell Green, a local artist and Edinboro journalism graduate.

Together with the Jefferson Educational Society, Green and Dr. William Garvey worked to tell the interesting story of the Battle of Lake Erie and portray the history in a fun and exciting easy to read way.

The book is used in several schools within the Erie District and is gaining popularity throughout the county.

If you're interested in having it used in your school, the books are being distributed for free by the Jefferson Educational Society.
