Teenagers Speak Out About Problems In School

-->

 October 3, 2012:

            Positive Youth Development of Erie County hosted a youth panel breakfast this morning. The program gives area teenagers a chance to not only speak about problems they face, but offer solutions as well.

            Three high schools are part of the program, Strong Vincent, General McLane and Union City.

            The PYD works with the students to study data from the Pennsylvania youth survey.

            The idea is to develop positive activities and events to address issues in their schools using the 40 Developmental Assets framework.

The plan is to give these students a voice.

The Positive Youth Development of Erie is funded by the United Way of ErieCounty.
