13 Year Old Charged In Grandparents Shooting Death

Investigators say he shot and killed his grandparents, now the 13 year old suspect from Oil City is in police custody.
13 year old Zachery Proper is charged as an adult with two counts of criminal homicide after he allegedly shot his grandmother, 67 year old Dorothy Fross and his step grandfather, 69 year old George Fross.
Investigators believe the incident happened on Sunday around 4 p.m at their residence at 1190 Polk Cutoff road in Sandycreek Township in Venango County.
Police discovered the bodies Monday evening after family asked investigators to check on their welfare.
According to a police report, Proper admitted to the crime and said he was upset because his grandparents were talking poorly about his mother.
The homicide investigation remains ongoing.
Proper is being held at the Venango County Prison on no bail and a preliminary hearing has been set for October 17th.
