October 9, 2012 - Pennsylvania State Representative John Hornaman wants your help with a piece of legislation he's trying to get passed in the senate.

Representative Hornaman says it's critical for the Senate to pass House Bill 142.

That bill allows municipalities to offer earned income tax credits to volunteer responders.

It's the second time the bill has passed in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.

Representative Hornaman is now asking constituents to help get the bill passed.

"I'm calling not only on the volunteer responders themselves, but their families, the auxiliary organizations and really any concerned citizen to call their senator and tell them please, do whatever you can to get this bill lined up for next week and let's get it done get it to the Governor's desk before the end of this session," said Rep. Hornaman, (D) 3rd District.

Representative Hornaman says that seventy percent of Pennsylvania is covered by volunteer responders.
