Office Plans

An Erie group wants to send a message to United States Senator Bob Casey.

The Erie Peace Initiative plans to set up a temporary "office" for Erie area residents to contact the Senator.

The group will set up the office on Wednesday from noon to one in front of the Federal Building in Downtown Erie.

The group says the office is a way for people to get in touch with Casey to voice their concerns about the Iraq war.

Casey voted in favor of a recent war spending bill that does not have a timetable for a withdrawal of U.S. troops. The Peace Initiative plans to have phones and papers in their temporary office for people to call or fax the Senator.

Senator Casey plans to open an office in Erie on June 4-th.
