Erie Firefighter is Retiring

One of the Erie Fire department's top brass is saying goodbye this week.

Assistant Fire Chief , Tom Lawson has been with the Erie Fire Department since 1971. On Thursday, he is retiring. We caught up with fire fighting veteran who told us he knew working in the emergency management field was exactly what he wanted to do since he was a small child.

He says the surprises of delivering twins, working through the 9-11 attacks and the helping various people get our out of fires has made for a very meaningful career.

Lawson says he plans to spend his well deserved retirement out on his boat and traveling. Congratulations, from all of us here at YourErie.com; JET-TV and FOX 66!
