Halloween Hours: Some Parents Concerned

watch video

Tomorrow is Halloween... And while the City of Erie will be trick or treating tomorrow... Kids in Millcreek Township and McKean will be getting their candy on Saturday...

Some parents understand that hours would be pushed back because of the storm, but some are concerned for the safety of their children and the amount of kids out for both nights.

Storm had most kids and parents wondering when trick or treating would happen this year...

And since the high winds and rain died down significantly... Erie mayor Joe Sinnott cleared it with Emergency Management that trick or treating for the City of Erie would be tomorrow from 6-8 PM.

While in Millcreek and McKean... Trick or treating for those townships will be Saturday from 6-8.

We wanted to hear your concerns about celebrating Halloween two days...

Russell McGranor is "Not happy at all... Everyone should be the same; I think its time with the changing of weather patterns that Erie County look to move Halloween hours to the weekend prior instead of week nights."

While Jennifer Wenzel thinks it's positive, saying "It's actually kind of nice for nontraditional families. Instead of losing valuable trick-or-treating time shuffling the kids around now each parent can have their own time. And it does nothing but benefit the kids no matter how you look at it."

And Julie Boam agrees, by telling us via face book "I am torn, as I will not be in town this weekend, but I think it is great that they decided to do it in Millcreek. The weekend is so much better because the kids get to bed at a decent hour and are not strung out on sugar the next day."
