Foodbank Funds Feeding with Facebook

October 31, 2012 [Erie, Pennsylvania]   The Second Harvest Food Bank makes a special effort each holiday season to provide a traditional holiday meal for those who would otherwise go without.  This year the goal is for more than 6,600 families to receive holiday meal baskets. The Erie Community Foundation is joining in the efforts by offering the community an opportunity to make a difference through Facebook.  It's a simple and free way to help others this season of caring.  All that you have to do is "LIKE" The Erie Vital Signs Facebook Page and/or The Erie Community Foundation Facebook Page.

For every new "LIKE" between November 1st and Thanksgiving Day, The Erie Community Foundation will donate $1 to the Second Harvest Food Bank.  The goal is to raise $2,000 because 2,000 new "LIKES" will provide 14,000 meals for individuals and families facing hard times in our area.

To participate and help provide meals for hungry families, individuals can go to the Erie Vital Signs or Erie Community Foundation pages on Facebook and click the "LIKE" button today.  The campaign will end on Thanksgiving Day.
