Reaction to Romney Commercials in PA

watch video

October 31, 2012 - With the election just six days away, Governor Mitt Romney has launched commercials in Pennsylvania, which has some people questioning whether or not Pennsylvania is now up for grabs.

The latest Franklin and MarshallCollege poll released today shows Romney is gaining on President Obama in Pennsylvania.

It shows Obama with a four point lead over Romney after previously leading by 9 points in September.

Some democrats say this is a final attempt for Romney to try and win Pennsylvania.

However, some republicans say that if Romney now has a possibility of winning Pennsylvania, it's beneficial to have commercials.

"Fortunately Romney has discovered that Pennsylvania is likely to be with him so he's bringing more information forward via the ads," said Verel Salmon, Erie County Republican Chair.

Bill Cole, Erie County Democratic Chair said, "It's a last ditch effort to gain electoral votes because he's not gaining grounds in the swing states."

President Obama will have commercials playing in Erie starting tomorrow.
