November 12, 2012--

Fifth Graders at the Erie Day School studied the electoral college and applied that lesson to the current political scene today.

The youngsters used their internet skills to identify other schools across the country, and sent them postcards to poll the students there on their presidential preferences.

The kids then used pushpins to make a graphic display of their data on a big map of the United States.

In the five presidential elections classes have been using this method to study the electoral process, they have picked a winner correctly every time.

Time will tell this time. Barack Obama was the projected winner.
