Harbor Creek Community Honors Fallen Airman

NOVEMBER 3, 2012- The Harbor Creek community came together today and honored a man who gave his life for our country.

Family and friends joined hand in hand and honored Air Force Sr. airman Bryan Bell at Whitford Park by naming a playground after him.

Twenty-three-year-old Bell died in January at Camp Bastion Afghanistan.

His vehicle struck an improvised explosive device, and he died from injuries.

Family and friends say dedicating a playground in his honor couldn't be more fitting, as Bell was a big kid at heart who loved children.

Loved ones say the playground is an extension of life, and it will bring a positive to the tragedy.

Bell was also a Bronze Star and Purple Heart recipient.
