Volunteers Give Away Free Turkeys and Hams

NOVEMBER 4, 2012-Some local volunteers are giving back to the community one turkey and ham at a time.

Carletta Tate, the sister of East Side Eagles Pam Simmeljkaer and cousin of Mothers Against Teen Violence Sonya Arrington has donated one-thousand dollars worth of turkeys and hams for low income families.

People waited outside of the Metroplex since 7 a.m.

After less than 30 minutes all of the turkeys were given away.

I'm so glad someone is trying to help, but I do know that some of those who SAY they need them, don't really need the help, they just take, take, take, from the otherwise Families who really COULD use them...
