Presque Isle Beach Walk Aimed At Looking For Problems One Step At A Time

It may have been too cold for some people to walk the beaches of Presque Isle, but for state and federal officials, this walk was a necessary one.

Members from the Presque Isle Advisory Committee, DCNR, and then Army Corps of Engineers spent the day walking the beaches looking for problems like beach erosion and areas that will need sand in the spring.

Park Superintendent Harry Leslie says there should be no problem obtaining sand this year and there is capitol money that's appropriated for sand.

There will also be a beach walk in the spring to see how the beaches fared over the winter months
