Gannon Fellow Studies Refugee Struggles

    November 9, 2012 - A Gannon University fellow from Haiti took an in-depth look at struggles of Erie refugees.

    Marie Rivette of Haiti spent three months working with local refugees focusing on the violence they were exposed to when they first came to Erie.

    Gannon officials are pleased with her efforts.

    Rivette met with more than 70 local refugees from Bhutan, Nepal, Somalia, Iraq and Burma.
