Gun Sales Expected To Rise After Presidential Election
According to one area gun shop owner, people are scared that the government is going to start tightening gun control laws and their getting ready to buy their weapons
Bob McDowell owns Bob's Gun Shop in Mckean and said the day after the election, his gun sales nearly quadrupled.
Data released by the FBI shows the number of firearms background checks for potential gun buyers in the U-S jumped 18 point 4 percent in October. The number of applications for gun ownership is considered a leading indicator for future gun sales.
Gun sales also rose 13 point 4 percent after the 2008 election after President Obama was first elected.
