Good Kid 11/12/12

A 13 year old is on a mission to help the less fortunate. And now his fellow volunteers are recognizing his efforts.

Traci Teudhope introduces us to this week's Good Kid.

Meet 13 year old Logan Sipe. When he has a day off school, this is where you'll find him, helping to feed the hungry.

Logan Sipe:

"I started when I was little because my family was helping, so I just came in and helped whenever I don't have school."

He continues to pitch in, no questions asked.

Logan Sipe:

"Beause it's fun, and everybody appreciates it, and it's just a good thing to do."

David Holmes, volunteer:

"I know that Logan is just one of these people we can count on he's very dependable."

Logan's help doesn't stop at the food line. He's willing to help with just about anything.

David Holmes:

"Last summer he spent the summer helping paint the facilities both inside and out and he's just been a tremendous volunteer for us."

And his proactive approach to pitching in makes an impression on the other volunteers too.

David Holmes:

"He has pitched in whenever it's necessary. He is always looking for things that need to be done and he makes sure they do get done."
