Grand Opening at Pulakos

November 19, 2012 - A grand opening and ribbon cutting marks the beginning of another chapter for Pulakos Chocolates in downtown Erie.

    Dozens of people were at the brand new Pulakos at 4th and French Streets today for the official opening.

    The store opened last Monday and has had a successful week.

    Joe Hilbert, owner, is excited to bring the candy store back to the area where it all started 110 years ago.

"Downtown has been very good to Pulakos in the past and you know we want to do things to make people happy and chocolate makes people happy and we hope that continues," said Hilbert.

    The Mayor, the CountyExecutive and the CEO of the Erie Downtown Partnership were at the ribbon cutting along with many other community leaders.
