Small Business Saturday: November 24
November 21, 2012 - It's time to start checking items off the Christmas list, and what better way to do that than buying from small, local businesses?
Small Business Saturday is set for November 24th.
This Saturday's event ties in with the recent launch of The 3/50 Project that recommends spending $50 collectively at three local businesses.
The Erie Regional Chamber and Growth Partnership wants you to shop locally to keep the money in our community.
"Economically the money that you spend at the local independent brick and mortar businesses the larger amount of the money stays in the community than when you shop at the big box stores so it's important in so many ways," said Claudia Thornburg, Erie Regional Chamber & Growth Partnership.
Fifty Small Business Saturday door mats have been placed at local businesses that are participating.
