Titusville Uniquely United Campaign Reaches 70%

Christa Battin, Chair of the Titusville Area United Way's Uniquely United Campaign announced today that the campaign has reached 70% of its annual goal with $113,000 in donations and pledges in hand to date.  Helping the campaign to meet the milestone is the staff of the YWCA who achieved 100% in employee participation in the campaign.  The YWCA's payroll pledges are matched at a rate of .50 for each dollar through the John Nesbit Rees and Sarah Henne Rees Charitable Trust, which helps the campaign inch closer to its goal.

"I congratulate the staff of the YWCA for so generously supporting the Uniquely United Campaign.  It is clear that each of them understands the importance of supporting the community through the United Way." stated Battin.

The Titusville Area United Way Campaign supports programs in the areas of Education, Income and Health that serve the community's unique needs.  During the past year our United Way programs served approximately 10,000 of our friends, family and neighbors.  In the area of Education, 406 youth benefitted from funding programs in the past year, 1,409 individuals and families were aided through programs included in the Income area, and the programs included in the Health area served 6,610 individuals and 45 families during the year.

Agencies providing programs funded through the campaign include:  American Red Cross; Associated Charities; Big Brothers and Sisters; Boy Scouts; Crawford County READ Program; Family Service and Children's Aid Society; Hospice; PPC Violence Free Network; Salvation Army; Titusville Health and Aging Center; Titusville Senior Citizens Corporation and Titusville Leisure Services Partnership; Titusville YMCA; YWCA of Titusville and the Titusville Area United Way.
