Autism Friendly Event At The Millcreek Mall
Any child can get antsy waiting in
line to see Santa...but it's that much worse for children with autism...
The
holidays can be a stressful time for anyone... And with the malls continuing to
get more crowded it can be a challenge for parents to bring their children with
disabilities to see Santa.
The
Barber National Institute tried to make this day a relaxing day for children to
remember.
Pictures
with Santa Claus is something special that families enjoy together, often kids
with special needs have a hard time handling loud noises and long lines...
That's why the Millcreek Mall kept it inclusive.
Michael
Eggleston has been waiting all day to see the big man... His mother Lisa tells
us it's a good opportunity for Michael to be around other kids just like him.
This
is the second year David and Julie Dejarnette brought their children to sit on Santa's
lap...
