Downtown d'LIGHTS will Light Up Perry Square on Friday

December 3, 2012 - The Erie Downtown Partnership is excited to announce that Downtown d'LIGHTS will be held on Friday, December 7, 2012.  Join us beginning at 5:00 p.m. at Perry Square for live entertainment from DJ Bill Page and the Erie Playhouse Showstoppers.

The park will come alive at 6:15 p.m. when Santa and Mayor Joe Sinnott "flip the switch" and thousands of lights fill Perry Square, which marks the beginning of the holiday season in downtown Erie.  This year, see all of Downtown come alive as UPMC lights up the Boston Store, too!  During the event, enjoy free horse drawn carriage rides from 6-8 pm, provided by Erie Insurance. There will also be coffee and hot chocolate from the Sidewalk Caf and Ye Old Sweet Shoppe's Sweet Treats Truck will be there.  After the lighting, visit with Santa in the lobby at The Boston Store where kids will get a free keepsake photo.  This event is free to the public and lasts until 8 p.m.

The Erie Downtown Partnership, The City of Erie, Erie Insurance, UPMC Heath Plan, Erie County Gaming Revenue Authority, The E and DJ Bill Page are all sponsors of this years event.

The Erie Downtown Partnership is a non-profit organization whose mission is to revitalize downtown by improving its image, business climate, physical environment and design.
