The Second Harvest Foodbank can thank facebook and the Erie Community Foundation for a big donation.

The foundation presented the food bank with a check this morning for two thousand dollars.

More than one thousand people liked one of two pages involved in the fundraising effort, the foundation's page and the Erie Vitals Signs facebook page.

Support from the Erie Community Foundation for non-profits, like the Second Harvest Food Bank, are important this time of year.

The idea was to donate one dollar per like. But the Erie Community Foundation decided to round the number up to the two thousand dollar mark.
