Possible Name Change at Shades Beach Boat Launch

watch video

December 5, 2012 - Re-naming for the boat launch at ShadesBeach in Harborcreek is moving forward, with a possible change coming in 2013.

At the Harborcreek supervisors meeting this morning, a motion was made to begin the process to rename the boat launch.

It would be named after First Lieutenant Raymond Krupinski, a graduate of HarborcreekHigh School who died in service during the Vietnam War.

Supervisors are in the process of working with the family for the official name and a bronze plaque that will be dedicated in 2013.

Comments

That is nice and all...but no one will call it by the new name, it will still referred to as Shades Beach by the public.
