breaking news
On Wednesday we brought you the news of a fire that ravaged a Rock Dale Township church. Well, this devastating event didnt stand in the way of the congregation on their day of worship.
After an electrical fire gutted the inside of Brown Hill United Methodist, instead of church goers gathering together under a steeple, they simply used a tent.
Interim Pastor David Ewing says it would take a lot more than flames to stop his congregation from worshiping. Despite the rain drops falling from the sky Sunday morning, the group began their service at 11am across the street from their church building and underneath donated tents.
While the initial cleanup has begun, restoration should take about four to six weeks. To date, no dollar amount has been put on all the damage.
