The death of a man found lying outside of his burning car in Mercer County has been ruled a homicide.

An autopsy has determined that the man lying outside of his vehicle, after a reported car fire, died from a single gunshot wound.

State troopers and fire fighters were called to the scene of the car fire on Hallibaugh Road around 5:30 Thursday night.

Fifty-eight-year-old David Dignall was pronounced dead at the scene by the Mercer County Coroner.

Police say Dignall and the car were partially burned.
