December 23rd, 2012

An Erie woman is honoring the victims of the Newtown tragedy with a special tree.

Laurie Schauer decided to decorate a special tree in her home for the victims of the Sandy Hook shooting.

She decided to call Michael's Craft Store and see if they had what she was looking for.

When she arrived at the store, the store manager told her they were giving her the tree and decorations free of charge.

Laurie says that makes the tree even more special.

The clear angels on the tree represent the young victims of the shooting. The red angels, the adults killed that day.

The tree also features white lights representing peace and love.

And blue lights in honor of the first responders.
