19 year old Brittany Steward has been charged with two counts each of involuntary manslaughter, endangering the welfare of children and recklessly endangering another person.
The charges are a result of the drowning deaths of 20 month old Jenna Walker and 2 year old Maggie Kovski.
District Attorney Brad Foulk revealed that there were many inconsistencies in Stewards statements following Wednesdays drownings.
According to the criminal complaint, several witnesses had placed the 19 year old babysitter at a friends house consuming alcohol the night prior to the drownings.
Steward arrived home just before 7am Wednesday.
Steward told emergency crews that she put the two children down for a nap then took a nap herself. When she woke, the children were missing.
Foulk says the pond where the children drowned in was at least 200 yards from the house and he believes these two victims were left unsupervised for a considerable period of time.
