Good Kid 12/31/12
Today we meet a teenager who keeps her grades up, loves to hang out with her friends, and still takes time to be a mentor to other children.
Traci Teudhope takes us to Albion to meet this week's Good Kid.

11th grader Mayson Halstead spends a lot of time with kids.
Mayson Halstead, 11th grader, said: "I love them. I love them all. They're amazing, every single one of them."
Kim Halstead, Mayson's Mom, said: "She really has a heart for reaching out to other kids, especially if they're having problems. She'll do what she can to help them."
She does her best to serve as a role model to kids younger than her.
Mayson Halstead: "I'm doing something good, they'll see it and think I'm going to do it too, just kind of influence them to be good."
Her giving nature, and her maturity, makes Mayson a very special young lady.
Kim Halstead said: "I'm just really proud of her. She's a really special girl, and we love her very much."
Mayson has big plans after she graduates from high school.
Mayson said: "I want to go to a really good nursing school and care for little ones."
Her mom can't wait to see what's in store for her little girl.
Kim Halstead said: "I see a very wonderful and bright future for her, and I'm just glad I had a small part in that."
