Restaurants Help Prevent The Flu
January 10, 2013
Restaurants are one of the easiest places to spread germs, and with cases of flu on the rise, some local eateries are taking steps to keep you healthy...
People are at risk for contracting the flu virus anywhere they go this season, but with restaurants being the places people have the most hand-to-mouth contact, extra preparation by the staff is necessary.
Frequently cleaning the door handles at the entrance to the establishment is one way to stop the spread of germs before they even enter the restaurant.
Once at the tables, servers make sure to wipe down not only the tables and seats, but the salt and pepper shakers, ketchup bottles, any surface that could easily spread the virus.
And of course the common sense solution. Wash your hands! It's the most important! Kitchen staff and servers step this up as well this time of year.
