January 11, 2013 - The 2013 Miss America will walk the stage Saturday night with the new title and a busy year ahead.
She'll leave behind a jam packed year spent working on her platform and the fun, yet stressful week in Las Vegas.
But the contestants aren't the only ones feeling the pressure.
Jordyn Colao is the first Miss Pennsylvania from erie since 1999 and could become the first Miss Pennsylvania to win the Miss America title since 1954.
Talk about a lot of pressure!
Her parents have been with her every step of the way and are feeling the same way.
Miss Pennsylvania Jordyn Colao is more than two thousand miles from her home.
The distance is a challenge itself ... Not to mention the pressure she's under fighting for the crown.
Shes lucky to have her parents Joe and Laurie right by her side .. supporting and encouraging her every step of the way.
Jordyns father arrived in Las Vegas on Tuesday and has been to the three preliminary competitions.
Her mother has been here since January 2nd.
The Miss America organization hosted a parents only event Thursday for those who have daughters participating in Miss America.
They're all in the same boat.
