It's the heart of winter, but the sun is shining...and of course.. One thing's missing.. The snow

But its safe to say most people don't miss the winter weather..

As the temperatures hit the fifties...

Local residents felt it was a perfect day for walking and hiking...

People happy to partake in a summer activities in January.

But it wasn't only a day for your casual walkers...

State parks all over Pennsylvania are having their annual winter hike day...

And here at Presque Isle, you'll see the sun drew quite a crowd.

Now this is called a winter hike day... Because it usually happens when there is snow on the ground...this year it's a little different.

Most people we talked to can't wait to get rid of the winter weather, but you will find some who miss it.

And it wasn't just a beautiful day for exercising... Some photography enthusiasts spent the day snapping photos of Mother Nature.

Again it was rather an unusual day for an Erie January...

Like you heard...you better take advantage of it while you can because the temperatures will be dropping back down again in the next few days.
