January 14th, 2013

The American Legion is hosting a town hall meeting tonight for women veterans to discuss the quality of healthcare they are receiving from the Erie Department of Veteran Affairs.

Representatives from the Legions System Worth Saving task force will be at the meeting tonight before visiting the Erie VA this week for their annual review.

They'll take some of the feedback from tonight's town hall meeting and apply it to their visit to the Erie Department of Veteran Affairs.

The Erie VA says they are supportive of the American Legions decision to hold a town hall-style meeting and encourage all women veterans in the area to attend.

The Erie Department of Veteran Affairs Medical Center currently serves more than one-thousand women veterans.

The town hall meeting is tonight at 6:30 at the American Legion post 571 at 1917 Eastern Avenue in Erie.
