Millcreek officials confirm superintendent Golde is taking an administrative leave for what school officials say are personal reasons.
The attorney for the school district, Tim Sennett, would not confirm why or for how long Golde will be on administrative leave, and whether his leave is paid or unpaid.
Millcreek School Board President Terry Scutella referred questions to Sennett.
Action News has learned from sources that a recent audit of the districts finances may be connected with Golde's leave.
A group called No New McDowell has been adamant about the district not rebuilding McDowell High School, which has a price tag exceeding 100 million dollars.
No New McDowell group member Donna Reese says they've worked hard to keep the district on track financially.
