School Board Releases Audit
In response to our request for a copy of the Millcreek School District's audit, the Millcreek School Board released that audit of district finances.
Last night at the meeting, the board made the audit available to the public.
Solicitor Timothy Sennett says the board's finance committee and the board as a whole have not met with auditors regarding this single audit report from June 30th 2012.
Jet 24 News has learned from sources that superintendent Michael Golde's departure may be connected to the results of this audit. Several unanswered questions still remain surrounding superintendent Michael Golde's leave. After the executive session, solicitor Sennett reitterated that Golde's leave was a paid leave, for personal reasons.
But some members of "No New McDowell" left unsatisfied.
The audit reveals the general fund borrowed five million dollars from the capital projects fund.
This happened a week before the board voted on the McDowell consolidation plan. No one would comment on how this was significant.
