Erie Woman Sentenced 18 to 40 Years for Killing Boyfriend
The fate of an Erie woman has been determined after fatally shooting her boyfriend back in April.
Back on December 7th, 31-year-old Rachel Kozloff was found guilty of third degree murder, possessing a firearm and recklessly endangering another person.
This comes after Kozloff testified in court that she shot and killed her 31-year-old boyfriend Michael Henryat in his apartment on East 18th Street on April 12th.
District Attorney Jack Daneri tells us he believes justice was served today, but the defense attorney Jamie Mead argues, saying one day Kozloff can be a functioning member of society.
Kozloff isn't facing the maximum charge, but it's still a hefty sentence of 18-40 years.
