The Corry man charged with robbing the First National Bank at 2765 West 8th Street in Erie last month is headed to trial.

Twenty-nine-year-old Martin Mitchell waived his right to a preliminary hearing this morning at the Erie County Courthouse.
Mitchell has been charged with robbery, theft by unlawful taking, terroristic threats, and simple assault.

Mitchell is also allegedly involved in the Marquette Bank robbery last month.
Mitchell could have agreed to a plea deal which would've involved 6 months of jail time, but instead is choosing to go to trial.

District Judge Paul Manzi presided over the morning's hearing.

So this guy robbed 2 banks and would only have to serve 6 months? They should put the DA in jail for 6 months for offering such a deal.
