Fund Established for Fire Victims

A family that lost their home to fire this week is getting some help from their friends and neighbors.

The Chad Atkin family home on Wanneta Road west of Albion burned on Monday morning. No one was hurt, but the home was heavily damaged by smoke and water.

Brenda Atkin is a manager at the Vernon Township McDonalds Restaurant. Her co-workers have put together a fund to help out with the family's expenses as they put their lives back together.

Donations can be made to the Atkin Family Fire Relief Fund at any PNC bank.

In addition, donations of clothing and household goods for the couple and their two teenaged daughters can be dropped off at the Vernon Township McDonalds at 16830 Conneaut Lake Road.
