Group Gathers To Search For Missing Teen
Neighbors are working together at this hour scouring the city of Erie for a missing teenager.
East Third and German Street is just one of the many neighborhoods in which over one hundred and fifty people are canvassing and searching for 17 year old Jake Samusenk.
The group gathered at the foot of Parade Street around 10am. Everyone was handed fliers with Jake's picture, they then split up into six groups and hit the streets.
Each team had a team captain. Most of the groups were canvassing the area between the lake and 12th Street. They knocked on doors and spread the word about Jake and hung up more fliers.
The other groups are in the area from Front street to the lake, which is a more wooded area.
People from all over, even those not familiar with the neighborhood, are out searching for Jake.
Adrian Ewing, also from the lower east side, organized this event.
The group is reconvening at the American Legion on 3rd Street to warm up and decide a next course of action at 2pm.
