Trial Begins in Child Rape Case
A Millcreek man was in court today, after being accused of raping a child.
The child rape trial began this morning in Judge Shad Connelly's court room for 33-year-old Jeffery States of Millcreek.
In the summer of 2011, an eight-year-old girl told her parents that she had been repeatedly raped by States while two other children were hanging on his shoulders.
States, however has denied any of this had ever taken place.
The jury is faced with the decision to believe the victim's story or not. When medical examiners checked the child's body, they found no signs of assault.
States faces several charges including rape, indecent assault, and endangering the welfare of children.
