Valentine's Day is for Lovers: No Matter What the Age
Tomorrow is Valentine's Day. The day set aside for lovers to express their love for each other, and it dosen't matter the age. In fact, more and more people are finding love the 2nd time around.
Jean Metcalf is 77 years old. Her husband of 5 and a half years, Bob Hall, is 80.
Marjorie ward is 88, her "boyfriend" Dave Spaader is 82.
Dave Spaader had to work, but the three all found love again after their spouses passed away or in Metcalf's case divorced.
Both Metcalf and Hall said they did not plan on a new permanent relationship, it just happened.
Both said if you are comfortable with each other and compatible, go for it.
A University of Missouri study shows that about a half million Americans, ages 65 and older, re-marry each year.
Some experts credit these love stories to longer life, and greater social acceptance.
