West 12th and Weschler Avenue Accident

One man is in the hospital this morning after the car he was driving struck a tree on Erie's west side.
At 10:45p.m., emergency crews were called to the intersection of West 12th and Weschler Avenue for reports of a car into a tree.
According to Erie police, the driver was traveling east on 12th Street when he lost control and struck the tree.
Upon impact, the tree broke and fell on top of the SUV, causing even more damage to the vehicle.
The man was taken to UPMC Hamot with severe injuries.
