Prison Corrections Officer Will Run for County Executive

A corrections officer at the Erie County Prison has announced his candidacy for county executive.

Tom Loftus of Edinboro has put himself in the running in hopes of becoming county executive.

Currently, Loftus has spent 19 years as a corrections officer at the prison. Loftus tells us he believes his time as an officer as well as being a Lawrence Park commissioner gives him the knowledge that he needs to be the next county executive.

Loftus tells us with all of the recent mishaps at the prison, he wants to help raise morale.
